Jonathan is a PhD student at the Institute for Advanced Biosciences UGA-INSERM U1209-CNRS UMR5309 in Grenoble. His research focuses on the development and the characterization of new preclinical imaging modalities.
Jonathan works on the characterization of a new preclinical multimodal imaging system which will combine Bioluminescence (2D and 3D), Fluorescence (2D and 3D) and X-rays techniques. He is also working on photoacoustic imaging, an emerging imaging modality which shows very promising features in terms of biomedical applications, and particularly in the detection of primary tumors and metastases. This preclinical imaging system will provide detailed information on tumor formation/growth which will help the scientific community to adress the optimal strategy to fight against cancer.
